BIO

With a degree in French Studies from the University of Valladolid and Poitiers and in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Salamanca, I have been devouring art, music and films since I was a child. At the age of 20 there was no turning back. I went from being a spectator in One-Eyed Willy’s cave chasing the Fratelli brothers, to figuring out which light they had used, reaping insight from the great works that inspired me as a child: Khondji, Storaro, Willis, Almendros, Navarro, Deakins…, and a wealth of film geniuses who helped me discover that light is the universal language for creating powerful stories.

I started working in television at a very early age and participated as a jury member in the Jurado Joven Internacional of the Mons Film Festival (Belgium) and the Jurado Joven Seminci (Valladolid, Spain).

Aged 24, with a suitcase, a blank notebook and my dreams of light and shade, I move to Madrid to study cinematography at Séptima Ars.

There begins my career as a cinematographer: in advertising (Burger King, McDonald ́s, Supermercados Día, La Once, Westin Palace, Corona, Hisense, Triumph, Iberia…); series (Chessboxing (Antena3 NEOX) and Probando, probando (El Corte Inglés/Tuenti) directed by Miguel Campos and produced by Cristóbal Garrido); films (Julie by Alba González de Molina (selected at the Malaga Film Festival among others) and Crisis by Miguel Monteagudo); documentaries (Artículo 23, series by Sebastián Arabia for Diario Público, El Viejo Rock, film by Pablo Sánchez Blasco and Tierras construidas by Arturo Dueñas); TV programmes (All you need is love (Zeppelin/Mediaset), Españoles en el mundo (Secuoya/TVE), Tu compra es un desastre (Blur/Canal Cocina) Este país merece la pena (Mandarina/Mediaset)), while participating in numerous short films and music videos.

This variety in my work makes me a versatile and efficient cinematographer, who provides a marked visual aesthetic tailored to each project and, very cared for, meticulous frames.
